Quilting Bee

The quilted trend that is among us is so much fun. It makes me feel all cozy inside, like I should be drinking some hot cocoa and reading a good book kind of cozy.

Whether you do a whole sofa like below or just some fun drawer pulls, it's easy to incorporate this trend. And these examples are just the tip of the iceberg. If you look for it, you can find the quilted pattern in just about anything and about every price range.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things: One-Four

I would like an announcer Oprah style that announces my Favorite Things posts. That or Julie Andrews singing an intro.

I want to stay at the New Hotel in Athens. So bright and airy.

If I could pull this look off, I would purchase the bathing suit in 2.7 seconds. Damn winter weight.

Stumped for a unique gift idea? Have a custom head Pez made. Hello! So cool!

The ultimate fitted shirt... Fabric in a can. Yes, I said a can.

Gilded Mint on Etsy has some superb artwork to jazz up your walls.

Yeah, I know. Most people don't like pigeons. But I think we can all agree that these pigeon lamps are very different than the standard city dwelling type.

My dogs are turning seven in July and they have requested this bed in black as their birthday gift. Uncle Greg, are you listening?

Little kids in sunglasses make me happy. Especially this kid. Could he be any cuter? The answer would be no. I'm one lucky auntie.

Etsy Jackpot: Janet Hill Studio

While spending many hours searching Etsy for artwork, I came across this gem, Janet Hill Studios. There is something so dreamy about her paintings. They make me want to throw a tea party and go shopping for elbow length gloves, red lipstick and something sparkly. Now the hard part, deciding on one.

Love Me Some Zara Home

Just for you, my lovely readers, I'm spreading the word about Zara Home. You may be familiar with their clothing stores (love them, of course none in Portland), but did you know they also have a home store. Hello! Happy girl, right here.

The perfect hand towels for spring. So bright and happy. I want this print in a dress.

Changing out old knobs for fancy ones is super easy and inexpensive. And how fab is this ashtray?! I believe I have Mad Men to thank for this accessory comeback. You don't have to smoke to enjoy the beauty of an ashtray.

Make your table roar with this leopard place mat.

I know there's a Steve Irwin joke here somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Besides, I really like this little crocodile skull.

Yowza! These satin sheets make me feel all fancy.

These hangers take my color coded closet to a whole new level.
Umm, I thought I was obsessed with gold flatware, but these black beauties
may have changed my mind. Gorg!

I have a weird issue with shower curtains I can't see through. I know, I've got problems. With this problem, it leaves me with few options. Until now. Love this mosaic print shower curtain, and I can see through it!

These babies come in three colors. Which means, three times the fun. And yes, I did buy the coffee cup. I insist that none of my coffee mugs match. Maybe I'll tell you about it someday. Anyway, this hot mama is now mine.

Putting Some Books on a Shelf

Spring cleaning time and is there a better project than organizing your books and knick-knacks? Check out these bookshelves for some awesome ideas on how to organize and refresh your space. BTW, don't be afraid to throw some stuff away. Purging is good for the soul.
