25 Days of Christmas CoCo Style - Day 8: Ornamental

I've seen a LOT of Christmas Tree postings on Facebook the last couple of days. Seems like people in the Portland area are taking advantage of the dry weather and getting their trees before the rain comes back. Those posts inspired me to publish my ornament post early.

For me, decorating a tree is a creative process and an opportunity to turn a regular old fir tree into a beautiful piece of art. Nothing makes me happier than finding just the right ornament for myself and for gifts. Ornaments seem to be the longest lasting type of decoration people have. I still have my very first Christmas ornament I got when I was 7 months old. It's like a walk down memory lane every time I open the ornament box.

When choosing ornaments, get pieces that reflect your personality Don't just go for the cheap and easy. You'll get tired of them. Trust me.

25 Days of Christmas CoCo Style - Day 16: Ornaments

I love ornaments. Love. They can be used in so many ways. Most obviously, the tree. But you can also hang them on garland, lamp shades, wall hooks. Put them in a glass bowl, as decor on your serving trays, make wreaths. The best thing about ornaments is that you can usually find any and every form of ornament imaginable. No need to limit yourself to just the standard glass balls. Branch out (no pun intended) and mix in some original and unique pieces.

PANTONE
What is it about Pantone products that are so cute? I just can't
resist the block of color and black print.

If it's mini, I am obsessed with it. Both of these happen to be just that. So cute!

The amount of patience this would require to make is unreal.

CUCKOO CLOCK AND VINTAGE CANDLES
Both of these would look amazing on my tree. Just sayin.

The antlers are DIY, so you could do any color. I might make some of
these for everyday decor. And who doesn't love a pom pom? I guess
someone who's dead inside might not like them.

These are part of the Neiman Marcus/Target partnership I blogged about
earlier. I saw them in person and they are stunning.

25 Days of Christmas CoCo Style - Day 17: Ornaments That Don't Suck

In case you haven't noticed by now, I love Christmas. I look forward to it all year long. One of my favorite things to do is open up the ornament boxes (yes, I said boxes, plural) and unwrap each ornament. No matter how many times I've seen them, I always get excited. Each one brings back a memory from the past and gives me a warm, toasty feeling inside. If you're looking for fun ornaments, but not sure where to start, look no further. Here are some of CoCo's picks for this year.
