25 Days of Christmas CoCo Style - Day 10: Wreath Around the Rosey

As we all know, I'm not one for traditional decoration. I like to hang wreaths on all of my doors, but I just can't do the standard evergreen. Not that evergreen is bad. It's just not my style. I like to mix it up. So, I searched the internet far and wide and found some simply amazing, non-traditional wreaths. I've got one that I decided to make, but more on that later. For now, feast your eyes upon some seriously kick ass wreaths. There's even a Lego one!

25 Days of Christmas CoCo Style - Day 14: Ring Around the Wreath

What is a wreath you ask? Let me help out you with that one...

"Wreaths are used typically as household ornaments, mainly as Christmas decorations to celebrate the birth of Christ. They are also used in ceremonial events in many cultures around the globe. Wreaths have much history and symbolism associated with them. They are usually made from evergreens and symbolize strength, as evergreens last even throughout the harshest winters."

25 Days of Christmas CoCo Style - Day 19: Wreaths Are Where It's At

Today's guest post comes from one of my favorite design blog gals, Nancy Marcus. This girl's sense of style and design expertise are spot on. Nancy is what I like to call "the cat's meow". Thank you so much for being a part of the CoCo blog!

Hello lovely CoCo Designs readers! First a huge thanks to Lora for including me in on this lovely Days of Christmas series. Today, we are looking at pretty Christmas wreaths - they add so much to our festive decor! They come in many shapes & sizes, here are a few ideas I love:

First off, a wreath made of fresh greens can bring texture as well as glorious smell to your home! And how about mixing it up and going square? Lovely!

I love a touch of silver in my own decor. Here is a look and my silver wreath on my own front door - love it especially against black!

It's also fun to go really unique - how about a simple wreath made of lights? Or a wreath made to pin up and display the cards you receive during the holidays ...

Add a touch of femininity with this pretty ruffled look, I adore this!

Finally, a look I hope to include in my home next year - repeated wreaths, perhaps down a staircase, or displayed in windows. It's classic & festive, don't you think?

XOXO
