CoCo Takes Manhattan-Part II

Round Two...
If you've never been to New York City, you must go. It should be on your list of cities to visit before you die. The energy there is intoxicating.

Although this was a work trip (for the most part), I was lucky enough to have my friend entertain me. In between 8 hour shopping days I took in lots of yummy food, good drinks, great sights and of course... Pigeons. Two pigeons in the airport to be exact. Thanks D. Muah!

Amazing church in the middle of randomness

D and I had the pleasure of meeting Gary Baseman at The Breslin. He was the
sweetest guy and we had a wonderful chat. Talk about talent!

Another taste of home at lunch. I had grits and they were to die for!

CoCo Takes Manhattan-Part I

I'm back from New York, baby! Invigorated and refreshed, ready to take on the new year.

I flew out to NYC to work on a kick ass apartment in Hell's Kitchen. Exposed brick, high ceilings, rooftop deck. It was definitely true love. I'll be posting about that project later on and believe me, you will NOT want to miss it.

These posters were everywhere.

The RoseLand

Yummy drinks and a lovely man by the name of Jamaal.

Fantastic pedicab at Anthropology

Jonathan Adler

I can't count how many hours I have spent drooling over Jonathan Adler's website. It's safe to say that I would take one of everything and be very happy to do so. With beautiful furniture, accessories, rugs, art and everything else in between, he creates designs that are fun, bold and inviting. And to top it all off, he has a whole page of dachshund products. Hello! Hats off to you Mr. Adler.

Best New Year's Eve Ever!

I'm not usually a huge fan of New Year's Eve. Not because I don't like the holiday, but because of all of the crap that comes along with it. Ridiculous cover charges, 30 minute lines for a cocktail, and it is absolutely impossible to get a cab home. Hey Portland cab companies, you know there will be thousands of people wanting cabs home, get your shit together and plan ahead. And would you mind teaching your cabbies to turn their damn lights off when they are occupied. Seriously, doesn't seem too difficult to do.

Back on track, I had the best time this NYE. I had the privilege of witnessing my dear friend, Laurel, marry her groom-to-be, Jon. Nothing better than getting all dolled up, spending the evening with the best friends a girl could ask for and celebrating such a wonderful occasion. Couldn't be happier for you two.
